Welcome to DRCN 2011!

We would like to invite you to contribute to and participate in DRCN 2011, which will be held in the historical city of Krakow, Poland, a city wrapped in legend, where time flows differently, a former seat of kings, attracting scholars and artists from the entire world.

The International Workshop on Design of Reliable Communication Networks (DRCN) is a forum for presenting excellent results and new challenges facing the field of the reliability and availability of communication networks and services. It brings together experts from industry, governments and academia, experienced in engineering, design and research.

The conference has been held biennally since 1998. Over the past thirteen years, DRCN has developed into a well established conference covering topics from equipment and technology for survivability to network management and public policy; through theory and techniques for survivable and robust networks and application design. The 8th DRCN will be held in Krakow in October 10-12, 2011.

The DRCN 2011 conference offers a rich program, including keynote talks, regular papers and panels, together with two free state-of-the-art tutorials. We need your contribution and participation to make it a successful event. You can be encouraged by the fact that the best paper award will be granted and works of a special merit will be considered for a fast track publication in the Computer Communications journal.

Looking forward to seeing you at DRCN in Krakow in October 2011.
